Clients sometimes feel outgunned by a large law firm or frustrated by a
difficult opponent. Their anxiety is reduced when they know they
have an advocate on their side who has extensive experience under
those conditions, who believes in their case, and who can present it
persuasively.
I give realistic assessments. Many times clients decide to avoid litigation
once they see the whole picture or discover the possibility that
there may be other ways to solve the problem.
When I take a case, I personally handle all aspects of it from beginning to
end even if I collaborate with colleagues.
Client and Lawyer Involvement
The circumstances and a client’s goals determine my plan for each
case. Continued client involvement is important because new
client information will sometimes require me to adjust in my
course of action.
I keep clients informed of important developments as the case progresses. But I don’t bury them in details, mainly because most clients don’t
want to be bothered with the details; they care about the results. Besides, the
purpose of hiring an attorney is to reduce the burden of litigation
on them,
not increase it. |
